At Central Tent, we take pride in making our products. One of our proudest achievements is our sidewalls.
What is special:
1. We use stainless steel top buckles. No one has this buckles. Almost all companies use steel buckles which will eventually rust. They might have plastics buckles which will not hold against strong environments.
2. We attached pole wrap for frame tent. The pole plastics buckles helps level the sidewalls so the sides do not sag and tip to one side from another.
3. We also use stainless steel grommets – The cost is more and harder to put into the sidewalls – but we did it to make it last.
4. We seal all French lines on windows. We don’t paint or tape the lines which does not look authentic.
5. We have pole pockets to make sure the sides can be weighted down.
6. We use reputable commercial Velcro closure. Velcro is not the same, if you use cheap Velcro, the sidewall will not last long.
7. We have stake ties. Stakes can be weighted down so the sidewalls don’t flaps. Of course, we have the pole pocket, but this is an extra option which most companies don’t want to deal with.
These sidewalls are proven with over 20 years of business experiences. We take pride in what we do and ensure that we give out quality products. Please call or email for more questions or get a custom quote.

**Guidelines for Storing Tent Equipment**
Proper storage of tent equipment is crucial to maintaining its quality and prolonging its lifespan. Tents, especially when used in commercial settings, need regular care to avoid damage from environmental factors like moisture, abrasion, and rust. This guide provides detailed instructions on how to store tent tops, tent fittings, and tent poles to ensure they remain in excellent condition.
**Tent Tops:**
Tent tops are made of a durable vinyl fabric designed to withstand various weather conditions. This commercial-grade fabric features vinyl coatings on both sides, providing protection and durability. However, the vinyl coating can easily scrape away if the tent is dragged over abrasive surfaces such as concrete or asphalt. Therefore, it is essential to handle the tent tops carefully and avoid contact with rough or harsh surfaces that could cause damage.
Before storing, it is crucial to ensure that the tent top is completely dry. If the tent is stored while still damp, moisture can penetrate the fabric, leading to mold growth and mildew caused by bacterial buildup. Once mildew forms inside the fabric, it becomes exceedingly difficult to remove. To prevent this, lay the tent top flat on a clean surface and allow it to dry thoroughly. This step is especially important after an event where the tent has been exposed to rain or high humidity.
When it comes to storage bags, breathable bags are ideal because they allow any trapped moisture to escape, reducing the risk of mold and mildew. However, most commercial storage bags are made from vinyl, which is less breathable. If using a vinyl bag, keep the top of the bag slightly open to allow for air circulation and moisture evaporation.
Most commercial tents, like those from Central Tent, come with stainless steel buckles that resist rust formation. However, if your tent has buckles made of other materials that are prone to rusting, ensure they are thoroughly dried before storage. This will help prevent rust from forming and compromising the tent’s functionality and appearance.
**Tent Fittings:**
Tent fittings, which are crucial components that hold the tent structure together, are typically made from coated steel. While this coated steel is rust-resistant, it is not entirely rust-proof. Over time, especially with prolonged exposure to moisture, rust can start to form on the fittings. To prevent rust from penetrating the surface, it’s advisable to apply a protective coat of paint to the fittings regularly.
The rate at which rust develops depends on factors such as exposure to rust-inhibiting agents (like saltwater), the extent of rainwater exposure, and the surface treatment of the fittings. Regular maintenance, including cleaning and painting, can significantly extend the life of tent fittings.
**Tent Poles:**
Tent poles are often made of anodized aluminum, which provides a degree of protection against rust. However, like coated steel, anodized aluminum is not rust-proof. Over time, the anodized coating can wear off, especially if the poles are subjected to abrasive use, such as dragging or sliding against each other. This wear can lead to the formation of aluminum oxide, a type of white rust. When this type of rust comes into contact with the vinyl tent top, it can create black marks that are difficult to remove.
To minimize the risk of damage, it is essential to store aluminum tent poles in a dry area, away from water exposure. If the aluminum surface becomes exposed to moisture, oxidation will occur, forming aluminum oxide. To prevent this, handle aluminum poles with care, avoid stacking them directly on top of each other without protection, and ensure they are thoroughly dry before storage.
**Conclusion:**
Proper storage and handling of tent equipment, including tent tops, fittings, and poles, are essential to maintaining their quality and extending their service life. By following these guidelines—ensuring tent tops are dry, using breathable storage solutions, protecting fittings from rust, and preventing oxidation on aluminum poles—you can keep your tent equipment in excellent condition and ready for future use. Regular maintenance, careful handling, and mindful storage practices are key to preserving the value and functionality of your tent investments.

To ensure that the tent stays within it’s original framework and tent stability, a crossbar is needed to support the tent structure.
Cross Cables and Rafter Crossbar are needed to stabilize a long tent build. This applies to 20 ft. through 40 ft. wide with length of 30 or more.
Typical Rafter Crossbar, 3 point cables and leg brace setting. The braces help minimize the load from the joint to stabilize the tent. The cross cable also helps maintain the width of the tent. The cable supports the sides by pulling them inward.

The clear tent is not reinforced fabric. It should be handled with extreme care. It will tear very easily. As with any tent, ground cover should be used.
by
The most common method is to spread out the tent and use a mop, brush, soft buffer, and/or pressure washer to clean it.
WARNING: Vinyl tent fabric has a type of plastic surface that can be scraped off by rough surfaces such as a concrete pad, rocks, asphalt, and other hard surfaces. When spreading out the tent, please make sure to place it on a soft material such as a drop cloth or tarp to protect the vinyl. If a soft material is not used, the fabric and it’s coating will be damaged and may need repairs.
You can use commercial tent cleaner solutions, soap and water, or just plain water to clean the tent. A mild vinyl cleaner can also be used. Please do not use acid-based cleaners such as household bleach or other types of cleaner that will hurt vinyl materials.
When the tent was fabricated, a lacquer coating was applied to the outside surface to protect it when directly exposed to sunlight. The inside of the tent, however, does not have this coating and needs to be handled properly. Please make sure that the tent is dried thoroughly, especially at the webbing, buckles, and grommets, before it is folded and stored. This ensures that no water vapor will be present inside the bag.
Another method is the use of a large commercial washing machine designed specifically for tents. Our tents are fully compatible with commercial washing machines. Please follow the washer manufacturer’s guidelines for the solutions to be used when cleaning tents. Just remember that all tents need to be completely dry before being placed into storage.
All of our tent tops are certified by California as Fire Retardant. We can provide a certificate after the tent is constructed. The certification logo appears on the tent. All tent fabric should be carefully rolled and kept in a dry place. Prevent water from collecting on the tent during storage because moisture can cause mildew and stains. Avoid pinching and dragging the tent top, as this can tear pin holes in the fabric. Do not use sharp tools when opening the bags or packing materials. All of the tent’s materials and sewing specifications were tested and exceed a tensile strength of 200 pounds per square inch (PSI). This includes all of the tent’s top materials, including the rope lace-line, webbing rope, and other supporting parts of the tent.
